Turmeric Soap Recipe Melt and Pour Tips and Variations

Here are some tips and other variations to customize your turmeric soap DIY recipe:

  • Use a quality melt and pour soap base.  I use Crafty Bubbles white soap base, but you can also use Stephenson melt and pour soap.
  • Melt your soap in a double boiler or in the microwave.  If you use the microwave, heat in 30 second bursts and don't let it boil.  If it gets too hot, the soap can get rubbery.
  • I added the turmeric directly to my melted soap base.  You can also mix the turmeric with a little bit of rubbing alcohol or glycerin to get the clumps out.
  • Try adding 1/2 tablespoon turmeric and 1/2 tablespoon charcoal for a turmeric charcoal soap.
