Use these fall essential oil blends to make your home smell like fall!
It's finally fall, y'all. Fall used to be my favorite time of the year. I loved the falling leaves, the crisp air, pumpkins, and apples.
Now that I'm an adult, fall reminds me that the S-word is coming soon, and I'll be spending all of my money on heating bills. Adulting sucks sometimes.
In an effort to get myself in to the fall spirit, I've been using a lot of fall blends in my home. I prefer to use natural essential oils over fragrance oils, so I create or buy my own fall blends.
I've already made quite a few projects with Pumpkin Pie Spice and Apple Pie Spice blends, You can use those essential oil blends or substitute one of these. Just use the same amount of oils, and you can use any oil that you'd like.
Just watch for sensitivity with cinnamon or cassia in recipes for your skin. Some people get irritation from them. Also watch using citrus essential oils if you'll be spending time outside because they can increase photosensitivity.
FALL ESSENTIAL OIL BLENDS
When I want to make seasonal blends, I make them in empty essential oil bottles. I really like the bottles with droppers. I also have some tiny empty bottles for seasonal blends because I don't make a lot of each blend.
How much I make depends on how I'm using the blend. If I'm just diffusing it, I'll usually just double the batch. If I'm making another DIY beauty recipe, then I'll make it several times over so I have enough to use.
If you're using these blends in an essential oil diffuser, you'll want to add between 4 and 6 drops, so some of these fall essential oil blends you can mix right in your diffuser.
