Gifts From The Heart–Free Printable Coupons

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Heart Truth® . All opinions are 100% mine. Friends, it’s time to talk about something very serious, something that’s very dear to my heart.  Heart disease.  Heart disease is the #1 killer of women, so you’ve probably been affected by it in your life directly or indirectly.  This month,   The Heart Truth  is working to not only raise awareness for heart disease but to help women take preventative action against heart disease.  This topic is very important to me because my grandmother was ill for several years due to complications from heart disease.  Last year, my mother fell ill too.  She spent the better part of six months in the hospital due to complications from heart disease and some procures that she had done.  Those are my genes, friends.  I’m scared.  I also have a daughter, so I want her to realize that heart disease is serious and it’s never too early to take preventative measures.  To make it easier for you to  The He

Fizzing Bath Salts Recipe

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #ItsMyMasterpiece #CollectiveBias My regular readers probably know that I love to upcycle.  I have an Etsy shop where I sell my upcycled projects because I make way too many things to keep for myself.  I scour thrift stores, looking for dejected pieces that others have cast aside and no one wants.  I bring them home, make them pretty, and give them a new life.  When I saw the new Diet Coke Kaleidoscope IT'S MINE glass bottles , I knew that they would be perfect for upcycling.  I wanted to make some fizzing bath salts, so I decided to use the Diet Coke bottle for a pretty container to store my bath salts.

How to Clean Your Makeup Brushes

Thank you Dove for partnering with me on this post. Visit your local retailer to pick up the Dove White Beauty Bar today! I love beauty products that serve more than one purpose.  It saves me money and storage space, which is always at a premium.  I use my eyeshadow to fill in my brows so I don't have to purchase a powder just for my brows.  I use my flat iron to create beachy waves in my hair in the summer.  And I use the Dove White Beauty Bar as a body wash and to wash my makeup brushes.  Keep reading for a product that serves double duty for your skin and your makeup brushes.

Homemade Peppermint Lip Balm Recipe

I love the cool tingle of peppermint lip balm, especially in the winter.  Peppermint essential oil is said to help heal chapped lips, so this is really a great recipe for winter.  My kids constantly lip their lips, no matter how many times I tell them that this is what causes the red, chapped lips!  This helps create a barrier while it heals and protects.  I usually make a double batch of this so we can stash them all over the house for the kids.  Do your kids lose lip balm as often as mine do?  I have no idea where it goes.  It's there one day, gone the next, and back again the next day.  This peppermint lip balm recipe will make 10-12 lip balm tubes or about 5 one inch lip balm pots worth of product.

Chamomile Infused Hot Oil Recipe for Dry, Damaged Color Treated Hair

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #RethinkColour #CollectiveBias I've been dying my hair since I was a teenager, much to my mother's dismay.  I used to dye my hair the brightest colors that I could get away with at home.  When I got older, I toned it down a little and stuck with shades of brown closer to my own natural color.  Then I started getting it professionally colored with brown all over and blonde and red highlights.  I love my hair colors, but color treated hair takes extra work to take care of, especially if you're a busy mom who can't get to the salon every 4 to 6 weeks.  Keep reading for a new way to cover your roots and a chamomile infused hot oil treatment that will keep your color treated hair looking and feeling amazing.

Pink Sugar Scrub Cube Recipe

It's February, which means it's time to get all pink and lovey and pretty.  Last year, I posted an easy pink sugar scrub that was a big hit on Pinterest, and it was even featured on some cool sites.  This pink sugar scrub cube is very similar, but I like the presentation for something different.  I used the same fragrance oil for both recipes because I am in love with it.  Seriously.  It's amazing.  I know several of you ordered it from my other scrub, so be sure to back me up on how amazing it is.  It's like cotton candy with a hint of musk.  I could bathe in it.  I have bathed in it.  You'll love it.  Keep reading for the recipe and where to buy the famous Pink Sugar fragrance.
