Top Beauty Picks for Fall

It's almost fall, y'all!  Fall is my favorite season.  I love the colors, the crisp air, the perfect temperatures, and bonfires.  The only problem with fall is that it's followed by winter, and I hate winter.  When I'm old, I'm definitely going to be a snow bird.   To get ready for fall, I'm featuring my favorite fall products.  During the summer, makeup is lighter, but fall brings us rich, gorgeous shades like purple, deep browns, and gold.  Here are my top picks for fall makeup.

Calendula Soap Recipe for Dry Skin

This easy calendula soap is made with melt and pour soap and dried calendula.  It's excellent for dry or irritated skin. If you're new to soap making or just looking for an easy DIY project that you can do in an afternoon, try this calendula soap recipe for dry skin.  This herbal soap recipe is made with melt and pour soap, so you can do it in an afternoon. I have eczema on my hand, so I use this as a hand soap.  It would also make an excellent bar for your body, too. Calendula is my favorite herb for irritated skin, including eczema.  It's also great for dry skin.  You can also add essential oils for more skin loving benefits.

Fall Boots to Splurge On

If I can't wear flip flops, then I'm wearing boots.  Maybe it's because I'm a country girl now, but there's just something about a good pair of boots!  These fall boots will look great with jeans and a cute top or a dress.  While I'm not opposed to wearing less expensive shoes, I do splurge on a few good pairs for each season.  Here are my favorite boots for this fall.

Skinny Piña Colada Smoothie Recipe

> This skinny pina colada smoothie tastes amazing, and it's good for you too.  It's made with real fruit and coconut water for a healthy summer treat. Life is full of choices.  Of course, we'd all like to make the choice that requires the least amount of effort.  It's much easier to grab a bag of chips for a snack than to wash and cut fresh vegetables, for example.   Luckily, not all healthy choices take more effect.  In fact, some are extremely easy to make, like switching soda for a healthy drink without sacrificing taste.   I don't drink a lot of soda, but in the heat of the summer, sometimes soda is the only thing that quenches my thirst.  I've been trying to drink tea instead. When it's really hot, the kids like to enjoy some ice cream.  I really don't like ice cream, so I opt for this skinny pina colada smoothie recipe instead.  It's cold, quenches my thirst, and tastes amazing. How to make a case for blu e cig from an eyeglass case

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. Readers must be 18 years of age or older. All opinions are mine alone.  #bluPLUS  # CollectiveBias My husband is a smoker.  We don't allow smoking in the house or in the cars, so he has to go outside.  This is fine for him most of the year, but it gets very cold here in Ohio during the winter and very hot during the summer.  He recently switched to  blu PLUS+ e-Cigs ,  so now he can smoke in the car and in the house.  There's more to take with you when you travel with a  blu PLUS+  and tanks, so we made him a travel case from an eyeglass case.

Popcorn bars with M&M’S® Crispy - A delicious snack under 200 calories!

Do y'all remember  M&M’S® Crispy ? They looked like regular  M&M’S®, but they had a crispy rice center.  If you don't remember them, please don't tell me because this means that either you are too young and that I am getting old or that you do not understand living 10 long years  on this planet without  these little bites of heaven.  Tears may have been shed when I found out that these were no longer on the shelf.  I was pregnant all but 6 weeks of 2005, so I may have been a little hormonal anyway.  It's all good now because they are back!  I celebrated their return by making these popcorn bars with  M&M’S® Crispy, peanuts, and popcorn.

Cooling Cucumber Facial Mask

How's your garden doing this year?  We had a lot of rain and got our garden in late, then we got even more rain.  Most of my friends had their gardens flooded out.  Our garden plot is heavy in clay and loam soil, so it has excellent drainage.  This means that I have cucumbers coming out of my ears.  We've had sliced cucumbers or cucumber salad as a side dish for dinner every night for three weeks, and I've canned 40 pints of pickles for this winter.  Naturally, I started looking for DIY beauty recipes like a cucumber sugar scrub  and then I created this cooling cucumber mask.

Softening Beer Bath for Your Feet

Today, I've got another "crazy but true" recipes for you to try.  This one came about because I'm cheap frugal and don't like to be wasteful.  I had bought beer for a party that we had last summer, but I didn't realize that beer goes flat after just a few month.  I used a few bottles to cook with and do a beer hair rinse , but I still had a few left.  And that's how this recipe came to be!
