Caramel Coffee Sugar Scrub Recipe

Now that summer is here, it's time for me to get some color on my legs.  I don't want to risk sun damage, so I use a self tanner.  The golden rule, pardon my pun, for self tanning is to always exfoliate before using the tanner.  This not only helps your tan develop more evenly, but it also helps it last longer.  I made this caramel coffee sugar scrub recipe to exfoliate my legs because it smells amazing, and the caffeine is said to help reduce the appearance of cellulite.  Regardless, it smells amazing, and it is super easy to whip up.

I've used both fresh coffee grounds and used coffee grounds.  If you use already brewed grounds, you have to let them dry completely before using them.  This can take a few days depending on the humidity.

I like to use fractionated coconut oil because it's a great oil for your skin and liquid at room temperature.  You can also use sweet almond oil or even unrefined coconut oil, but you might want to melt it before making the scrub.
