10 Best Curl Defining Products

Spring in Ohio.  Rain, rain, and more rain.

It's been raining almost every day for a week, so I gave up on straightening my hair.  My hair is naturally curly, but I still struggle with getting my curls to stay in place and not have my hair looking wild.

I like my hair to be styled, yet soft.  I don't want it to be stiff or crunchy to the touch.  These are the best curl defining products that I've found, and all of them will hold your curls for hours without giving you crunchy hair.  Even though I love these curl definers, all hair is different.

I wish I could tell you that they will all work equally as well for you, but it is trial and error, unfortunately.  I really suggest reading the reviews before purchasing and don't be afraid to try new products if you haven't found one that you love.

Tigi Catwalk Curls Rock Curl Amplifier - This feels like a creamy lotion. Whatever kind of curls you have, just use a pea sized amount or you risk crunchy curls!

Marc Anthony Strictly Curl Enhancing Foam - This works especially well on thick hair or coarse curls.  It helps combat frizz without making your hair crunchy.

Cantu Shea Butter Coconut Curling Cream - This whipped butter-based hair cream is lightweight, so it won't weigh down your hair.  The shea butter makes it perfect for dry curls.

Sally Hershberger Curvaceous Elasto-Curl Daily Treatment - This miracle cream conditions while it tames your curls.  It's almost impossible to use too much because it just melts in to your hair.

Tresemmé Flawless Curls Extra Hold Mousse - This watermelon scented mousse is an excellent drugstore pick.  It has great hold and works well for wavy and curly hair.

Ouidad Curl Quencher Moisturizing Gel - Meadowfoam seed oil helps moisturize your hair while it defines curls.

Aussie Miraculously Smooth Tizz No Frizz Gel - I've been a big fan of Aussie products for years.  Their gel helps hold your curls and combat frizz.  Unlike most gels, it doesn't get crunchy or stiff.

Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie - This has coconut oil, vitamin E, and shea butter to nourish dry locks.  It works wonderfully on loose curls, but it might not be the best for tight curls.

Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious Defining Crème - Definition and bouncy curls with no frizz or crunch.

Curl Junkie Coffee-Coco Curl Creme - This is a curl definer and leave in conditioner in one.  This is great for dry hair.
