This post is sponsored by Kalahari Sandusky, but all enthusiasm is my own.

Today is the first day of spring, and we currently have an ice storm as I type this.  Between the bitter cold weather and the crazy homeschool schedule, I am more ready for spring break than are my kids!

We don't travel far because we have farm animals to feed daily, but Kalahari in Sandusky, Ohio, is just over an hour away and the perfect place to relax for a day.  We went last year, and my kids begged to go back before we had even left for the day.

My husband and I had a blast there too.  Usually when we go places, we spend our time watching the kids have fun.  I love watching my kids have fun, but we all got to play and fun at Kalahari.

Kalahari Resorts and Conventions in Sandusky is an African themed family vacation under one roof.  They have beautiful themed rooms, restaurants, arcade, a spa, mini golf, mini bowling, laser tag, and an entire water park.  There's a 173,000 square foot indoor waterpark that's open all year and an outdoor waterpark open in the summer.

Both the inside and the outside waterparks have things to do for the entire family.  For the littles, there are splash pads and fun games.  For older kids, there are water coasters, water slides, and a wave pool.

We are excited to go back this year because Kalahari is adding a few things.  I'm really excited to try the Float Tank.  It has water that's the same temperature as your body.  It's actually salt water with Epsom salts, so you can float and relax while you're weightless.  I think I'll try this while the hubby waits in line for the waterslides with the kids.

The kids will love the Bugs Burrow.  They can see what it's like to be the size of a bug with a burrow full of cute insects and critters in a splash area.

Kalahari is also getting a new resturant, theB-Lux Grill & Bar.  They will serve burgers, shakes, and other American food.  Best of all, the ingredients will be locally sourced.

Kalahari in Sandusky is sponsoring a giveaway for one of my lucky readers!  The winner will get a free night at the resort of their choice in a standard desert hut room (these rooms sleep four), plus admission to the indoor waterpark and the outdoor waterpark (seasonal).  This is good for the Sandusky location only.  The voucher is good for one year and can be used Sunday to Thursday (except holidays).  Good luck!

This contest is valid for US residents 18 years old or older except where prohibited by law.  Winner must respond to notification email within 24 hours or I will select a new winner due to the tight deadline.
