ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter Review & Giveaway

I think it's a prerequisite that you have to love all animals to live on a farm.  We have several outside critters, including dogs, chickens, ducks, homing pigeons, and goats.  Inside the house, we have three cats and a Chihuahua.  Our cats are Luie, the 16-year-old who is the best squirrel "dog" my husband has ever had; Carly, our 6-year-old princess; and Chloe, my son's Siamese mix cat.  Chloe resembles a tabby more than a Siamese except for her blue eyes, but she acts just like a frisky Siamese.

My son Caleb and Chloe are best friends.  Having autism, he relates to animals better than he does people.  Just her presence helps calm him down, and he loves to pet her soft fur.  She spends her days playing with him and her evenings sleeping on his bed.  Somehow she knows that he needs her in his life.  We love all of our cats, but Chloe has a very special place in our family.  That's why I'll do anything to make her happy.

Like all of our pets, Chloe was a rescue.  Chloe isn't like most cats.  She seeks out my son and actually plays with him.   He loves to play with action figures.  She plays the part of the Giant Space Monster, a part she plays very well.

Last year, my son started receiving services for his autism.  We are very fortunate that his therapists come to the house three times a week.  This saves me a lot of time and hassle, but it also creates some chaos right before they get here.  As like in most homes, there's always some last minute clean up to do before guests arrive.  One of our litter boxes is in a hallway off of our dining room, which is the room we use for therapy.  I was always in a mad rush to wipe down counters and the table and clean the litter box before they arrived.

With three cats, we have four litter boxes set up on two floors of the house.  I don't ever want my house to smell like cats, so I was scooping every box every day and dumping the litter every few days because I didn't want any lingering odor.  Then I found ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter.

This cat litter is a game changer.  Even if you scoop the litter box daily, bacterial odor can keep growing.  ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™ MicroGuard™ Cat Litter seals and prevents odor and it guarantees 7 day odor control.  MicroGuard™ technology works to prevent bacterial odors before they begin. With the litter box being so close to where we work with Caleb, I’m always worried that the cats will visit the litter box during a session, making the room smell like the litter box.  Now it doesn't matter.

One thing that I really like about this litter is that it clumps well so it's easy to scoop.  I've used litters that would crumble as I scooped, but not this one.  It forms a rock hard seal.

Chloe really loves the litter because it's made out of micro particles, so it's softer on her paws.  She has even refused some litters in the past because they had bigger particles, but she has no problem with the feel of ARM & HAMMER™ Clump & Seal™MicroGuard™ Cat Litter.

I have so many things to worry about as a mother, but thankfully the smell of the litter box isn't one of them.  Now we can enjoy our cats without worrying about that dreaded cat smell.
