Fall 2016 Beauty Trends

As much as I wish summer could last forever, I'm going to have to accept the fact that fall is almost here.  I'm a planner, so I like to be prepared for the next season.  I was browsing new makeup today to fall and winter, and I am loving the trends.  I probably won't adopt all of these trends, but a few will definitely be making it into my makeup bag.

Fall 2016 Beauty Trends

Smudged Eyes

Black eyeliner is back, and the smudged look is going to be very popular.  Personally, I love black liner, so I love this trend.  I'm a big fan of Tarte Amazonian Clay eyeliner, and it has a smudging brush on the end of it.  You can also use your favorite black liner and use a separate smudging tool.

Dark Lips

Lipstick always gets lighter in the summer and darker in the winter, but this fall, goth lips are in.  Your reddish black should be closer to black than red.  One to try is Wet N Wild Mega Last Vamp It Up.

Red Lipstick

If dark red/almost black is too dark for you, red is going to be popular again this year.  Matte red lipstick looks great in the fall.  City Color has a 6 piece set of matte red lipsticks so you can find the perfect shade.

Nude Lipstick

I think nude lipstick is perfect for every day.  I really love my Burt's Bees nude lippies.

Curly Hair

Good news, my curly haired friends.  Curls are so in for a fall 2016 beauty trend!  If you don't have curly hair, it's easy to get the look with the new Conair Curl Secret.  It's unlike any curling iron I've ever used.

Glitter isn't just for crafts anymore.  Oh, no.  Glitter is your new BFF for your makeup.  To ensure that your glitter stays all day, use elf Glitter Primer to hold it in place.  With this 10 piece Diamond Glitter Liquid Eyeshadow set, you won't have to choose just one color.

Subtle Highlights

In the summer, serious HAC was in style.  This fall, it's all about subtle highlights.  I like the Physicians Formula highlighter because it's made with minerals and gives a subtle highlight.

Peach Eyeshadow

You think of spring or summer when you think of peaches, but peach is a great look for fall.  I love peach eyeshadow because it looks good with so many skin tones.  There are a few shades of peach in the Maybelline New York Blushed Nudes palette.

Copper Eyeshadow

Copper eyeshadow is going to be really popular this fall.  This NYX copper eyeshadow is really pretty.

Natural Brows

Last year, thicker brows were in.  This year, natural brows are in.  This means you should groom them so they don't look messy, but you definitely don't want thin brows.   Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Promade will help your brows look thicker and fuller by filling in light areas.

Long Lashes

Although most of the fall 2016 beauty trends focus on natural beauty, long, thick lashes are in.  It Cosmetics Superhero Mascara has proteins to thicken your lashes with repeated use, and it has collagen and polymers to boost lashes as soon as you put it on.
