If you or someone that you're close to has lost a lot of weight, you know the struggles before, during, and after the weight loss.  I'm not done losing, but I look and feel a lot better.  There's just one problem with losing a significant amount of weight;  Saggy skin.  One way I've been trying to combat the excess skin is by losing slowly, but that isn't always under my control.  My body likes to release fat all at once and then very, very slowly before it repeats this process.  My doctor and I agreed that it's time to build muscle.  This will help me look leaner, get healthier, and look better.  Keep reading for a delicious chocolate frappé recipe that has a boost of protein.

I've been working out to gain more muscle, but I don't get a lot of protein in my diet.  Your body needs protein to build muscle.  You can eat protein in meats, but you'll also be consuming fat, which has more calories per gram than protein or carbohydrates.  You can also get protein from some vegetables and nuts, but they can also be high in unsaturated fats.

I do eat meat, but I don't eat a lot of it.  When I was a teenager, I was a vegetarian for several years.  I do love me some steak, but I really could go several days without meat.  That's another big reason to supplement with EAS Myoplex, which has protein and the nutrients that my body needs.

EAS Myoplex is easy to find at Walmart in the pharmacy section.  I love that I can pick it up while I'm doing my weekly shopping without having to go to another store just for one thing.

While I love drinking the RTD shakes, I also love having a frappé.  It's not practical to keep buying frappés because of the cost and calorie count, so I made my own using the EAS Myoplex chocolate shake.  Best.  Idea.  Ever.

What You Need

Add cold brewed coffee and EAS Myoplex shake to the blender.  Then add 2 cups of ice.

Blend on high until all of the ice is broken up and you're left with a delicious frappé.  Pour in to a mason jar mug because everything tastes better in a mason jar mug.

If you're spunky, you can top it with whipped cream or even some caramel or chocolate syrup.

EAS Myoplex RTD also comes in French Vanilla, Cooke & Cream, Rich Dark Chocolate, and Strawberry Cream.  I think all of them would make a great Frappé.  Which one would you like to try?
