Walk down any aisle in the skin care section, and you'll see a myraid of products that promise to reverse the signs of aging and make you look younger.  You could easily spend $100s of dollars each year--or even each month!--on these creams, but there's something that works even better: Sunscreen.  Keep reading for the benefits of sunscreen for anti-aging and a giveaway for two great products.

I started using a moisturizer with sunscreen in it as a teenager.  I'm 34, and I got carded going to a club two months ago.  I always get carded for alcohol, so I must look under 30.  Ladies, even if you are in your teens or 20s aren't aren't showing signs of aging, start wearing sunscreen now.  You will come back in 5-10 years and thank me, I promise.

What SPF Do I Need?

SPF stands for Sun Protection Factor; it's dependent upon your skin and how quickly you burn.  If you would burn in 1 minute, an SPF of 15 means you would burn in 15 minutes.  You should look for at least an SPF 30 for your face, or SPF 50 if you'll be in the sun for long periods of time.

Don't forget to reapply your sunscreen every two hours or after swimming or heavy perspiration.

How Much Should I Apply?

To get the maximum benefit from your sunscreen, you should use two tablespoons of sunscreen, about a shot glass full, for your face and body.  If you are using it on your face alone, use a nickle-sized amount.  If you are using a spray, spray until there's an even sheen on all of your skin.

I was thrilled when Lovely Skin asked me if I wanted to review some sunscreen from La Roche-Posay.  They sent me La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Daily Anti-Aging Primer with Sunscreen and
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion Spray.

They couldn't have come at a better time because I was spending most of the week at day camp with my son, so I was outside from 9 to 4 each day.  That was the one week in Ohio that we had some sun, and it reached 100 degrees on two days.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Daily Anti-Aging Primer with Sunscreen

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Daily Anti-Aging Primer with Sunscreen $39.99
I loved the anti-aging primer!  I used it after moisturizer and before my mineral foundation.  It went on smooth, and it helped my foundation go on smoother and last longer.  I used this in the morning before I left and then used the spray to reapply my sunscreen throughout the day.

La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion Spray
La Roche-Posay Anthelios 60 Ultra Light Sunscreen Lotion Spray $35.99
I used the sunscreen spray on myself and my son.  I was using an SPF 45 on him, but his shoulders and face got a little red.  I took this one to camp and applied it to him in the morning and every two hours.  It worked great!  He didn't even so much as turn pink, and I didn't either.  My son has sensory issues, so trying to slather him with a cream sunscreen is like wrestling with an alligator.  We both loved that this is an easy spray.

Right now, both products are on sale for a 4th of July sale.  I also have a code EP20SALE for my readers to save 20% on any La-Roche Posay products at Lovely Skin!  Please note that offers can't be combined, but the coupon code will work after the sale is over.

One lucky winner will also win one of each product!  Winner must be in the United States and 18-years-old or older.  Good luck!  Contest ends 7/28/15 at 11:59 PM EST.
