Even though I use natural and homemade makeup, I still don't want it clogging my pores. For me, clogged pores = instant breakout. The problem lies in that I am exhausted by the time I go to bed, so I needed something easy and quick. This natural makeup remover couldn't be easier because you make your own makeup remover pads, so just grab one, wipe, and you are ready to go to bed. You can't use these wipes on your eyes, but don't worry--keep scrolling down for an eye makeup remover recipe that's even easier.
Natural Makeup Remover
This recipe is fairly simple with just a few ingredients. You can customize it for your skin type, too! If you are prone to breakouts, don't omit the tea tree oil. If you have oily skin, you might want to skip the vitamin E oil. I have a zillion mason jars because I can, so I use one of the 4 ounce jelly jars. You could also use anything that is wide enough for your cotton pads but isn't too tall.

What You Need
- Small plastic or glass container with lid
- 1/2 tablespoon liquid castile soap (or make your own castile soap)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons witch hazel
- 2 drops tea tree oil
- 1-2 vitamin E capsules
- 2 tablespoons water
- 30 cotton pads
- Mix all of your ingredients together. Pierce the vitamin E capsules with a sterilized pin to squeeze out the oil.
- Place 25 cotton pads in the plastic container and pour liquid over them. Cover and shake. If you have liquid left over, add more pads until all of the liquid is absorbed.
- Turn the stack of pads over, add 2 tablespoons water, and cover again to store.
- To use, wipe your face with a cotton pad. Avoid the eye area.
