How to Make Deodorant Spray With Essential Oils

I'm just getting started learning about essential oils, but I love them so far.  Why did I wait this long to learn about them?  Today, we are going to learn how to make deodorant spray with essential oils to naturally combat odor and kill bacteria.

Last week, I posted several recipes to make your own deodorant.  These recipes are all great, but they are a firmer deodorant.  Today, I am posting a natural deodorant spray that you can make with essential oils.

How to Make Deodorant Spray

I love this recipe because you can customize it based on your preferences and which essential oils you have on hand.

Essential oils from citrus fruits, like lemon, lime, grapefruit, and lemongrass are cooling and smell fresh.  Use lavender or rose for a more feminine scent.

Sage and cypress oils are natural astringents, so they can reduce perspiration.  Yes, they are a natural antiperspirant!

What You Need

  • 3 tablespoons vodka
  • 3 tablespoons rose water or witch hazel
  • 40 drops essential oils
  1. Mix vodka and rose water or witch hazel in a spray bottle.
  2. Add one or more essential oils.
  3. Let steep for at least a week for best results.
  4. To use, spray on underarms one or two times daily or as needed.
And now you know how to make deodorant spray with essential oils!
