DIY Loofah Body Scrub Recipe

Most body scrub recipes use salt or sugar to exfoliate your skin, but this uses ground loofah.  Loofah is scratchy when dry, but it turns soft when wet, so it is an excellent way to remove dead skin cells.  Use a coffee grinder or herb mill to grind loofah for this recipe.

Loofah Body Scrub Recipe

What You Need

1/2 cup liquid glycerin soap
1/4 cup green clay
1/4 cup finely ground loofah
1/4 cup ground oatmeal
1/4 cup rose water (sub distilled water if you want)
1/4 cup sea salt

1.  Mix all ingredients well.
2.  Transfer body scrub in to a wide mouth jar.
3.  Use within 3 weeks to prevent bacterial growth.

This body scrub recipe makes 2 cups, which is enough for 8 uses.  Do not use on your face.
