How to Get Rid of Adult Acne With Zapzyt

This post has been sponsored by the PRIMP Network. All opinions are my own.

Moving into adulthood means leaving your teen years behind  No more curfews, no more high school biology and chemistry, no more homework, and no more acne.

Not all of us are lucky enough to leave everything from our teen years behind.  Some of us are trying to deal with acne creams and wrinkle creams because we have blemishes popping up long after our teen years.

Some women who didn't have acne as a teen suffer from adult acne.  To make matters worse, adult acne tends to be cystic, which is more stubborn to get rid of.

If you have acne in your 20s or 30s, you might need to rethink your skin care routine or products.  I use Zapzyt for adult acne because I can use it only when I need it and then switch back to my regular products.  Keep reading to learn how to get rid of adult acne.

How to Get Rid of Adult Acne

Skip Heavy Creams

Most women think they need a heavy moisturizer once they hit their mid 20s or 30s, but that's not always the case.  They can be too heavy, which can cause breakouts.  It's best to only use a heavy moisturizer if your skin is dry.

Actually, you don't need moisturizer all over your face.  If you have combination skin, you can just use moisturizer where you need it and skin your T-zone.

Simplify Your Routine

Likewise, you may think that you need to use several products morning and night.  Overwashing your face can dry it out, which can lead to more acne.

Using Spot Treatments Only on Blemishes

If you have adult acne, you might be tempted to use benzoyl peroxide all over your face to prevent acne all over.  Benzoyl peroxide works great to treat acne, but it can be drying to your skin if you use it where it isn't needed.

Use Zapzyt

Use an exfoliating scrub to slough off dead skin cells.

When I have a breakout, I switch to Zapzyt.  It has a salicylic acid cleanser and a salicylic acid facial scrub to treat acne.  Salicylic acid is great at combating blackheads and whiteheads and reducing excess oil.  It can also exfoliate to remove dead skin cells for clearer skin.

There's also a 10 percent benzoyl peroxide spot treatment to apply directly to blemishes.  It's even proven to zap zits in as little as 5 hours!  Benzoyl peroxide is great at killing bacteria that can cause acne and reducing inflammation.

Don't Squeeze Blemishes

I know it's tempting to pick at blemishes, but you should never do this.  This can lead to inflammation and even scarring, which is worse than a pimple.

Adult acne can be embarrassing, but learning how to treat it can help you look and feel better in no time!
