Best Cleansing Cloth to Simplify Your Skin Care Routine

This content is sponsored by Olay but all thoughts and opinions are my own. I hope you enjoy following along! #ad

How long do you spend on your skin care routine each day?  I know there are days that I spend quite a bit of time applying several products morning and night.  There are some mornings that I just don't have the time.  And some evenings, I'm too tired to apply several products to my face before I go to bed.  Then there's the issue of space.  We only have one bathroom, and space is definitely at a premium.  I only have two open shelves to store my skin care products on, so it looks cluttered with more than a few products.

What if I told you that less is more and you can simplify your skin care routine?  That you could use just one product on your face to clean, tone, scrub, and has exfoliators with the benefits of a face mask?  It's true! Olay Daily Facials Daily Clean 4-in-1 Water Activated Cleansing Cloths can do all of that with just one product.

Simplify Your Skin Care Routine

You know it's important to wash your face twice a day to keep your complexion looking good.  Washing isn't always enough though.  If you wear makeup, you need to use a makeup remover or micellar water to remove your makeup, cleanse, tone, moisturize, and use a mask once or twice a week.  The face cleaner removes dirt and dissolves oil, toning restores your pH balance, and masks gently exfoliate and pull debris from pores.

You probably have four different products in your beauty arsenal just to take care of your face.  But now you just need one product: Olay Daily Facials replaces four products.

Unlike most face wipes, the product is dry in the container.  You wet it to activate the cleansing pockets.  As soon as you wet it, it has a foaming lather that works to clean your skin better than just using a facial soap.

The 4-in-1 formula is a cleanser to wash away dirt and makeup.  It also tones and hydrates with Olay conditioners and the textured cloth exfoliates like a face scrub.  It's safe to use around the eyes, so you can use it to take off eye makeup and mascara.

The cloths are perfect for my gym bag.  After I do tai chi or use the heavy bag, I have about 2 hours while the kids are in their martial arts classes.  I don't want to be walking around all sweaty, so I take the Olay Daily Facials in my gym bag to freshen up.

They are also great for the no makeup look that's so popular right now because they keep your skin looking so good, that you don't even need makeup!

Dandelion Salve Recipe for Dry, Cracked Skin

Winter may be over, but I'm still suffering from dry skin.  I'm taking Glow by Nature Made supplements daily, which is helping, but my heels and cuticles are extremely dry.  If I skip just one day of using a lotion on my hands or feet, I get set back days in skin healing.

I wanted to make a dandelion salve recipe for a few years now, but I never had the time while the dandelions were growing rapidly.  Honestly, I just liked the idea of using something that people think of as a weed in to something useful.  This year, my daughter and I heard the tractor start, so we ran outside with a basket to get some dandelions before they got mowed off.  We picked about 4 cups of dandelions heads that I infused to make this recipe.

Leslie Sanson Walk at Home Review

I'd like to introduce you to my favorite exercise program, one that I've been using off an on for about 10 years now.  When I started using it, it was Walk Away the Pounds, but it's been changed to Walk at Home or Just Walk, depending on which DVD you buy.  I've been using it so long that my original Walk Away the Pounds set is on VHS.  Although I really love my old set, I did buy some new DVDs to use, mostly because the only VHS player we have is in the boys' bedroom, and I don't like stepping on LEGO bricks while I'm exercising.  This isn't sponsored by Leslie Sansone at all; I just really love her workouts!  Pssst....Leslie, I'd love to work with you though!

Triple Berry Iced Tea Recipe

This shop has been compensated by Collective Bias, Inc. and its advertiser. All opinions are mine alone. #GrillNGear #CollectiveBias

I love summer.  I love the carefree, lazy days with a schedule that isn't so busy.  I love being able to be outside in the sunshine, playing with the kids.  But what I love the most is summer food.  We have a large garden and an orchard, so we have fresh fruits and vegetables all summer.  There is nothing better than fresh grown produce on your table after spending hours working outside.

Summertime cooking also means that I can pass along the cooking chore to my husband, who loves to grill.  I prepare some cold sides earlier in the day, and he grills the meat for dinner.  Since I'm done with my cooking, I can sit outside and relax while he grills.  One of my favorite summer drinks is this triple berry ice tea recipe.

Get Help Managing Your Child's Allergy Symptoms

I am participating in  Influence Central’s Ambassador program on behalf of Claritin®. This program is paid for by the Makers of Claritin®, and I have received compensation for my participation. All opinions expressed are my own.

When my middle child, Caleb, was diagnosed with allergies, it was unfamiliar territory.  I wasn't allergic to anything until I was an adult, and even then I only have symptoms in the spring and fall.  My oldest isn't allergic to anything, so it was all new to me. I noticed that Caleb had a runny nose and watery eyes daily.  Since there are few people in our families who have allergies, I thought he was just sick.  I took him to the doctor who diagnosed him with environmental allergies. We bought a powerful allergy friendly vacuum, and I vacuumed and dusted daily.  We used the air conditioner in the summer instead of opening the windows.  After a few years, his allergies weren't being controlled, and he was miserable.  As a mom, it's hard to watch your child go through allergies and not know how to manage them.  Well, now you can learn how with the Smart Allergy Mom™ Toolkit.

Fidget Toys on Amazon For Autism ADHD

Fidget toys are the latest fad.  My kids are homeschooled, so they don't quite get all of the fuss.  Besides, they've been using them for years; they aren't a new thing for our family.  I'm glad they are gaining popularity though.  It brings some awareness and education to how important these simple little things are for kids on the spectrum.  When my kids were in public school, their teachers frowned upon them having a fidget toy.  My son would make one to use, then he would get in trouble.  Then his stress level was high, which is when he needed the fidget toy the most.  It was a viscous cycle that could have been avoided had his teacher known anything about autism.  But I digress since we are homeschooling now.  Whether your child has autism, ADHD, or is just likes to fidget, here are some fidget toys in stock on Amazon so you don't have to drive all over town looking for them in stock.

Lighted Magnifying Makeup Mirror Review and Giveaway ends 5/29

Happy Monday!  Let's start off the week with another great giveaway.  ToiletTree Products has generously offered to send a lighted magnifying mirror to one of my lucky readers, and they send me one to review as well.  I didn't have a makeup mirror, so I was stuck using the mirror in the bathroom.  With one bathroom and five people, my makeup time was always cut short.  As you can imagine, I was very happy to review the mirror for them so I had more makeup options at home.

Lighted Magnifying Makeup Mirror from ToiletTree Products Review

The makeup mirror isn't huge, which is a good thing for me.  It measures 6.5 inches L x 5 inches W x 12 -16 inches in height, depending on how you position it.  I need to store it in the closet when I'm not using it, so I didn't want a large mirror.  If you travel, the smaller size would be better to fit in your suitcase.

The mirror is magnified 7x.  That's close enough to apply your makeup to hide your flaws, but not close up that you freak out about each pore.

It has an LED light ring around the mirror for even makeup application.  It does take 3 AAA batteries for the light ring, so you will go through some batteries in the unit.

My favorite part is the makeup storage at the base.  It has nine compartments to hold your favorite products.

The lighted magnifying makeup mirror is available at ToiletTree Products and Amazon.

You could win a lighted makeup mirror of your own!  Contest is limited to US residents 18 and older.  Good luck!

Kings Island Season Passes 2017 On Sale Now

This post is sponsored by Cedar Fair in conjunction with Blog Meets Brand.  As always, all opinions and enthusiasm is my own.

As a family, we work hard.  We homeschool, so we all help each other learn our lessons.  We have a farm with a large garden and some critters that require a lot of work.  But when it's time to play, we play hard too.  Kings Island invited us back to kick off their 2017 season.  With the end of the school year coming up, it was so nice to take a day off just to play.  We went to Kings Island last year, so they were familiar with the park.  I'm pretty sure it's their favorite place to go!

Kings Island Season Passes 2017

Kings Island has a great deal on Season Passes, but it ends on 5/29.  Their season passes include not only unlimited rides and attractions in the park but also WinterFest, Halloween Haunt, and Soak City. Season pass holders can also get in to the park 30 minutes before it opens to the public to ride the new Mystic Timbers.

As if all of that isn't enough to convince you, season pass holders also get the following benefits:
  • Exclusive events for pass holders
  • Discounted meals and merchandise
  • Exclusive night rides on select dates
  • Dinosaurs Alive!
  • Free parking

Kings Island is the biggest amusement park and waterpark in the midwest.  It's located north of Cincinnati, Ohio.  We drive almost 3 hours each way to get there, but it's so worth it.

Planet Snoopy

Kings Island is very kid and family friendly.  Just inside the park is Planet Snoopy, which is a section of the park for kids and families.  There are rides just for the little ones, but there are plenty of rides for kids of all ages and sizes.  My kids are 9, 11, and 15, and we spent two hours just at Planet Snoopy.

My son, Caleb, loves to ride roller coasters.  Dakota wasn't so sure about them, so he rode on a smaller roller coaster in Planet Snoopy.  It was a great transition coaster for her so she could see how she liked it.  PS- She loved it!  Look at those smiles!

Drop Tower

Last year, Caleb really wanted to go on the Drop Tower, but we didn't get to it.  We promised him he could try it this year.  He and his dad went on it while I watched with my other two kids.  He loved it!  He begged to go back on as soon as he got off of it!

Autism Friendly

One thing we love about Kings Island is that they are autism friendly.  They have a disability pass where you get a time to go to your next ride, so you have to wait, but you don't have to wait in line.  Then you go to the exit and get on one the next ride.  This worked out perfect for us because my son can't wait in line.  We made it through the entire day without any meltdowns or incidents!

The Busy Mom's Guide to Staying Organized

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Special K. All opinions are 100% mine.

Sometimes I'm amazed at everything that I pack in to a day.  I homeschool my kids, work from home, and volunteer in the community.  Lately, I've been making some major life changes in that I'm eating healthier and working out.  Obviously, working out takes time, but even eating better takes extra time because I have to meal plan and do more meal prep work.  Getting healthy is important to me, so I am making time for it, but I still need to find ways to make my life easier and manage my time better so I don't feel the time strain as much.  Here's how I manage to keep my life somewhat organized so I have time each day to tackle my to do lists.

Friends, I have great news.  My most popular giveaway of the year is back!  I've worked with Circle K the last two years to bring your attention to their Polar Pop sweeps, and I have a $100 gift card to give away to one of my lucky readers.  Yes, that's two sweeps for you to enter!  We visit Circle K quite often.  There's one on the way home from my son's occupational therapy, I let him get an ice drink if he tries really hard at OT.  It's a great motivator for him, and I have an excuse to stop and grab another coffee.

Micellar Water Hacks

Have you used micellar water yet?  I was introduced to it about a year ago, and now I don't know I lived without it!  I didn't get all of the hype until I started using it, but I sure do now.  Then I learned these micellar water hacks.  Who knew this inexpensive beauty product was so versatile?  I have very limited space to store my beauty products, so I especially love products that serve double duty.  Micellar water has secured a permanent spot in my beauty cabinet because it does so much for my skin.
