Sharing My Other Side

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of The Hershey Company. All opinions are 100% mine.

You probably don't know everything about me.  True, I share tid bits of my life here and on my social media, but if you just read my blog, you might not know all there is to know about me.  I have a beauty blog, so I must be all about makeup, fashion, and living the high life, right?  Beauty bloggers are supposed to be worldly women who live in a big city full of energy, right?
Wrong.  I'm a farm girl living in the middle of Amish country, Ohio.  Where I live couldn't be further from New York City or Los Angeles.  Today, I'll share some of my other side with you, including some adorable pictures.

I didn't grow up on a farm, but some of my family did.  I wasn't mucking stalls on a regular basis, but I did do some work on the farms.  When I got married, we lived in the suburbs for several years before moving to a 11.5 acre farm.  We don't have herds of cattle or grow corn, but I do live surrounded by cows and corn.  Our farm is set up for sustainability, and we grow a lot of food here and have some animals.

We started with chickens.  This year, I added some ducks.  This is Elizabeth Bennet.  She's a Pekin duck who lives with her two sisters, Elinor and Jane, and several chickens.

My son got two goats last year, April and Amelia.  They are best friends and can't stand to be more than a foot from each other.

My two worlds do collide sometimes.  It's not uncommon for me to be gathering eggs or food from the garden with full makeup on because I had to take photos.  Even though I have traded my flip flops for boots, I have cute boots instead of the boring black ones (my husband suggested this).

The new BROOKSIDE Yogurt Flavored Fruit & Nut Bars also have two sides to them.  They combine unique combinations of fruits, nuts, and seeds to pique your interest.

Brookside Fruit & Nut Bars have nuts, seeds, and fruit combined with a yogurt flavored cream.  I've never had anything like them with their unique flavors like Vanilla Fig, Mango Pineapple, and Cranberry Blueberry.

Brookside also has Dark Chocolate Fruit & Nut bars, which were popular in my house before the new bars came out.

Brookside Yogurt Flavored Fruit & Nut Bars are non-GMO and gluten-free.  They don't have any artificial flavors, either.  This is very important to me as we are growing our own non-GMO foods, and we try not to eat artificial flavors either.

Brookside wants you to share both of your sides to show that people aren't one-dimensional and your snack shouldn't be either.  You can follow along with #ShareYourBROOKSIDE on social media to share your two sides.

If you do #ShareYourBROOKSIDE on Twitter or Instagram, you could win up to $1,000 towards a new adventure!  You can also enter by commenting on a post on Brookside's Facebook page.  Full sweepstakes rules at the BROOKSIDE website
