My Favorite Winter Workout

When the weather is nice, my favorite exercise is to take a walk around the farm or at the park with the kids.  I don't have access to an affordable gym, and by walking I can spend time with the family while I exercise.  I don't like walking in the winter.  I have a bad knee, so I am terrified that I'll slip on the ice or snow and pull another tendon.  I also don't do well in the cold.  I'm pretty sure that I was supposed to be born in to a tropical climate, yet here I am in Ohio.  I am just thankful that I don't live any further north than I already do!  In the winter, I have to use my exercise DVDs in the house or get creative.  One of my favorite winter workouts is dancing, and that's why we love the Just Dance games for the Wii.

My daughter really loves music and dancing, so we have three Just Dance games.  Even my boys like some of the songs on the games, so they will dance with us sometimes.  They like the competition aspect, but Dakota and I just dance and have fun without paying much attention to the score.

We are huge Disney fans, and I'm a big kid when it comes to anything Disney.  I recently got Just Dance: Disney Party 2 for a little more variety this winter.  It has over 20 songs from The Descendants, Austin and Ally, Girl Meets World, and more.  Dakota really liked how the characters and their moves are just like the characters on the Disney channel shows and movies.

Dakota and I both love Beauty and the Beast, so our favorite is Be Our Guest, which is actually the Descendants version on this game.

Just Dance: Disney Party 2 also has a fitness tracker like some of the previous versions of the game.  You can also create custom playlists or use of their premade lists.  Just Dance: Disney Party 2 is now available on Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Nintendo’s Wii and Wii U systems.

Check out Just Dance: Disney Party 2 and see the great song list!
