Pumpkin Body Scrub Recipe

What better way to celebrate fall than with a pumpkin body scrub recipe?  Pumpkin is full of skin-loving vitamins and alpha hydroxy acids.  The alpha hydroxy acids scrub your skin to remove dead skin cells, so your skin will look better, feel smoother, and get nourished. I also added ground oatmeal and white sugar to this recipe to gently slough off dead skin.  You can use brown sugar if your skin is sensitive.

I used pumpkins from our garden and cooked and pureed them myself, so that's why it's so bright.  If you use canned pumpkin from the store, it will be darker.

Mix the pumpkin puree, oats, and sugar together in a small bowl.  Use a damp washcloth to gently scrub your skin in a circular motion.  When you are finished, rinse with water.  Be sure to use a lotion after you use this recipe to protect your skin.
